He never say how, and he couldn't say why, but we're assuming he'll get right onto this most important of all his campaign promises the moment he steps foot in the White House.
2. Defeat ISIS
Either a bragaddocious claim of what he will achieve as soon as he takes office, or history's most nonsensical non-sequitur during the debates, nevertheless few will forget Trump's underdeveloped plans to take down the so-called 'Islamic State':
3. Threaten other nations
Part of Trump's anti-immigration rhetoric involved threatening other countries with losing access to US visa programs, should they refuse to take back illegal immigrants who commit crimes in America. He also claimed he would contact countries and say: "'Folks, we love protecting you [...] but you're not living up to the bargain.' They're not paying what they're supposed to be paying - which is very little, by the way."
4. Get rid of gun-free zones
Trump claimed that a gun-free zone is "bait" to a "sicko", and that they work like "offering candy to bad people". His campaign pledge was that he would get rid of gun-free zones in schools and on military bases on his very first day.
5. Build a wall
One of Trump's most widely cited promises was the infamous wall that he would build between the US and Mexico to stop the cross-border flow of immigration. Even more bizarrely, Mexico were apparently going to pay for it.
6. Repeal Obamacare
Widely touted as one of outgoing President Barack Obama's most significant accomplishments, Trump has nevertheless indicated he will turn back the clocks on the policy and leave more than 22 million Americans without health coverage.
7. Fix the Department of Veterans Affairs
On his campaign website, Trump detailed a 10-point plan on how he will reform the department that serves veterans, including "firing the corrupt and incompetent VA executives", investigating the fraud and cover-up allegations and creating a private White House hotline.
